Royal Dornoch

Often referred to as the ‘King of Scottish links courses’, Royal Dornoch Golf Club is a golf club in Dornoch, Sutherland, Scotland. It is generally referred to as Royal Dornoch. The club has two 18-hole courses: the Championship Course and the Struie Course. The older Championship Course is a links course located on the Dornoch Firth.

Gleneagles has three golf courses: the King’s Course, Queen’s Course, and PGA Centenary Course, previously known as the Monarch’s Course.  Gleneagles Golf Academy opened in 1994 and in 2010 was re-branded to The PGA National Academy for Scotland. The Jack Nicklaus-designed PGA Centenary Course opened in 1993 and hosted the Ryder Cup in 2014. When asked about his work, Nicklaus said, “It’s the finest parcel of land in the world I have ever been given to work with.”

Located in Gullane, East Lothian, Scotland, overlooking the Firth of Forth, Muirfield is a links course and is one of the golf courses used in rotation for The Open Championship. Jack Nicklaus won three Open Championships, the first at Muirfield in 1966, which completed the first of his three career grand slams. Nicklaus has described Muirfield as “the best golf course in Britain.”
